Quiet day at work…

September 26, 2006 at 10:39 am (Teaching)

Day two of testing is done. It went a bit longer than usual, since it was Reading Comprehension and Science. The group I proctor gets accomodations to their testing that includes reading the test aloud, so I have a bit of a sore throat. We did finish before time allotted, so I got in a good 30 minutes of crochet time while the students played on computers to pass the time. I brought two projects to work with me this week, so I can bounce between the two of them if I get bored with one.

I had three more girls ask me for Crochet Club permission slips today. I am going to have to start turning kids away soon enough. The school put a limit of 12 kids for my group, but I’m already up to 16 (21 if I get the outstanding permission slips in). I don’t want to, but I want to be able to actually teach. Too many kids make it harder.

The rest of my day’s going to be spent in Science Lab with my 6th graders. Should be pretty easy. I haven’t gotten an assignment for professional development after school. I’m guessing it will be busy work. Argh.
